I'm only about a year and change into kayak fishing but brought my kayaks with me to Surfside this week. Anyone have any advice of a decent place to put in easily and be able to do some fishing without a tremendous distance to paddle? I'd have my 13 year old son with me as well as possibly another guy who had never fished from a kayak before so I need something suitable for all. Also advice of techniques and species to target would be great.

The south shoreline is a good option I have seen people catch trout,Redfish, and flounder in the marsh there. I usally wade there. the water mostly clear I can stand in 3 fow and can mostly see the bottom. Another option if you dont want to fish christmas bay is go drum bay or chocolate bay.
