I have not caught a slot sized red in the last two summers and this summer looks to be my third if things don't change. I am willing to travel and pay. I want redfish I can eat. Please point me in the right direction. Where are you guys catching the legal redfish? I will even pay for a guide as long as he guarantees redfish. Hell, I'll mail someone a twenty just for sending me some place and I catch one. I went to Sea Wolf and got none. Sea Wolf is good for bulls but I want legal. I went to Rollover and got skunked. The guy next to me pulled a 16" red out and I sat next to him throwing everything I have ever caught a red on in hopes to catch a legal one. Where oh where are the reds?

Where are you located ? I fish around the Surfside/Freeport area and usally hook up with keeper Reds. I wouldn't mind someone helping with the $$$ to catch some Reds. No guarantees, but we will be fishing. I run a 18-V-Bay Blue Wave and have been catching lately.

Lol, I know what you mean. I just moved here from the south padre area and have only caught one red larger than 20". The fishing here is gonna take some getting used to. I usually end up having to head out by myself, so if you guys ever need some company out there let me know.

Have you tried the bay side of San Luis pass early in the morning on a falling tide?

Now, Donald...please pick John Bolton for your running mate.

Well if you are willing to travel you need to head to Louisiana. Head to Lake Charles and you will find plenty of slots. You can even go to Sabine Lake and catch some nice fish around the jetties. But it is proven....the Louisiana marsh produces the BEST red fishing in the world!

I'm in Houston but a buddy and I are hitting the coast as often as possible. I would be gladly willing to help with costs if you can get us there.

The very reason I planned a thousand dollar weekend to go sight-fish reds in Venice. That, unfortunately, didn't work out for me.

I may just have to devote an all-nighter to this Bob Hall Pier and into the morning.

Bringing this back from the dead because I am heading out to Galveston on Thursday. Where are they? Anyone else going? Gaff, need boat money? This might be one of my last trips to the coast this summer. I need some reds.

For reds right now, the Bolivar Pocket. By the North Jetty.

Mirrolure 16 MRs in the morning or late afternoon and limetreuse Saltwater Assasins during the day. Wade fishing on the Bolivar Pocket side of the North Jetty.

You will hook into some rat reds too but also some nice keeper sized reds.

I don't do a lot of jetty fishing but I'm willing to try. North Jetty is the one off 17th street after you get off the ferry right? How far down the jetty should I go. Doesn't it go out pretty far?

I just re-read and you want me to wade next to the jetty. Sounds good.

Sabine Lake Was on fire last Saturday afternoon,we caught reds mostly by sight casting in the middle of the lake,in the middle of the day,on topwater lures. For the cheapest rates,a nice boat,& a fun time, go to LuckyLindyCharters.com.
