Hey guys-I am heading to Port A in mid july and would like to do some fishing for sharks in the surf or something off the jetties. I have fished the surf a bit for trout and reds and done well, but would like to try something different. another option would be a private-semiprivate charter(not a party boat) Does anybody have any good advice or contacts. I cant afford to charter a whole boat, but would certainly pay for fuel and food/drink expenses and good tip-Thanks for any help

you can get on the Wharfcat or Dolphin docks for under $100 for 8hr trip. They're party boats, and usually do well this time of year.
Another alternative is the 4hr Ilsand Queen (former Jetty boat) for something like $40. Sometimes they get into them.

Another alternative is the 4hr Ilsand Queen (former Jetty boat) for something like $40. Sometimes they get into them. It was a 9 car ferry. I've taken the kids on the Island Queen a couple of times. We have caught sharks and kingfish off of it before. It all depends on what is in close and if they'll take it to the end of the jettys. It's a fun boat ride if nothing else. If you want to catch some fish though go take the 12hr on the Kingfisher out of Deep Sea Headquarters.
