I fish 99% of the time out of Seadrift and was looking for some advice on different places to go in the area. We make it down there about twice a month from Waco. Most of the time I make the long run from Seadrift to the south shore line of the island. Does anyone know what fishing is like in places like Lucas Lake, Mission Lake or Foster Point? How easy or hard are these places to access. Thanks in advance

It's all about the wind, and what it's telling you to do. If you're putting in at the marina, and it's blowing hard from the S/SE, and it's a mud hole, you can pretty well expect anything heading right/west is going to be sorta gunky also. If it's green in the marina, it'll be green up the bay.

Thanks Pat. You�re the local expert when it comes to Seadrift. I have fished the reefs in front of Seadrift with very limited success, rarely is there any green water. Thought I might be just missing something closer to the marina. I hope someday soon they get the grant money to dredge the harbor, it really needs a cleaning out.
