Looking into going gigging in Galveston this weekend and have not been in about 10 years, so I have no information on locations or water conditions. I have searched this forum and Google with no results so any information is much appreciated. We will not be in a boat.

Just inside san luis pass on the island side is usually good for a couple flatties. Colds pass if the tide is low enough and it's still flowing clear water. Virginia point on a north wind as well.
have fun

SLP is a dangerous location. PFD's are advisable any time wading there and elsewhere. By now you may already been there. How did u do?
