HEADLINES: September 26, 2016:
It ended pretty badly I must say: it seems JC caught Donald Trump down on the dock after Trump had flown in to Marlin fish, well anyway a war of words broke out and then things got ugly. It seems JC was the one who threw the first punch, cold cocking Trump. Well, Trump came back with a flying drop kick which caught JC in his jaw and knocked him out for a second. JC the rock that he is wasnt hurt a bit, he sprang back into action and caught Trump and put him in a Japanese Stranglehold and then flipped Trump over into the Chinese Telephone, which wasnt pretty at all. Trump remarkably came back and got JC in a toehold and then proceeded to put JC in a Butterfly / Banana Split, well that pretty much hurt JC until he pulled himself together and caught Trump off guard and was able to put Trump into a Chickenwing Camel Clutch in which he held him till Trump managed to put JC into a Three-Quarter Facelock. Well, we all thought it was over for JC but you never can under estimate the little cheat , all of the sudden JC breaks free, and puts Trump into a Rope-Hung Figure-Four Armlock as Trumped screamed in pain: JC was whispering to Fish Report Boy pass it to me, pass it to me. So the fool that Fish Report Boy is, did what JC asked: and passed him the Foreign Object well it was over for Trump after that. JC put Trump into the most gruesome hold he could think of the Apache Indian Deathlock and then proceeded to use Mad Mountain Mikes Atomic Drop and then to top it off JC put Trump into a headlock and made him say TIO in which the wuss that Trump is, he did it. Well, that was it for Trump he was sprawled on the dock, knocked out!!! JC was seen throwing Fish Report Boy something and everyone suspects it was the Foreign Object which is totally illegal. Anyway, thats the way it went down and the lies and legend of JC continue till next week?

Jc Sportfishing Charters is a family owned and operated business and has been fishing in Cabo San Lucas for the past 18 years. Jerry, explains that his charter business is geared more for families and novice anglers, making sure everyone who charters a boat with him have a great time and lots of fun. We welcome families, and groups. We want everyone who fishes with us to take all the sites in and have a memorable experience. This is what is most important to us. We have and do a few tournaments each year and can cater to fisherman who might be interested in tournament fishing. Well lets get on with the fishing report for this past week.

WEATHER: Hot, Hot and Hotter: Yea, thats the way it's been over this past week as it feels like September now, because it is September. All year has been really un normally hot with day time temperatures up to around 100 degrees every day with a little breeze at night to cool stuff off, but in general Hot and Humid, so if you are coming to Cabo prepare yourself for some hot days cause it has really set in.

WATER: Hasnt changed much in over a week the warm water is here to stay awhile and it feels like a bathtub if you spend time in it. The temps I noticed on the Tempbreak map was 82 to 88 degrees, which is pretty warm all over. If we could get some decent weather I think the fishing would be off the hook. Please check out the Tempbreak map link below to get a good idea on water temperatures.

BILLFISH: Big Blue Marlin being caught with one guy landing a 520lb Blue Marlin in a Panga. The year the Sailfish has also been pretty hot at the 95 spot and in that area. It seems that ballyhoo and live bait are landing the Sailfish and we think the fact that we have extremely warm water in the area is bringing in the Sailfish. The Sailfish have been here a lot longer this year due to warmer water in our area. The Striped Marlin fishing is good also with most fleet boats hooking a couple a day. So if your into Marlin and possibly a Blue Marlin now is the time to come to Cabo and we expect it to remain good as long as warm water is here until December.

DORADO: The Dorado has been really good lately with lots of 25lb to 40lbs coming in to the docks about everyday. Well, its about time we have had some steady Dorado action because we had 2 down years and were scared they wouldnt show this year, but it looks as there are here in abundance and we are happy about that for sure. If you want to go out for Dorado now is the time to book a trip and get out there. The Dorado are sure bring some nice fish cook outs and BBQ,s to life and we really appreciate.

SWORDFISH: Hasn't heard of any caught this week.

WAHOO: Some nice Wahoo have been landed over the last week and inshore action for them has been good. Try and stay closer to shore on the Pacific side past the Light House up to Margarita area..

TUNA: Good Tuna action this past week with plenty of football size fish being caught and even some big toads that tipped the scales at 140lbs to 180lbs. Inshore action for Tuna has been good also and it seems the fish are hitting king busters big time. A couple miles off of Margarita down to the Light House and Pump House area has been another good are for the Tuna. Heck, grab a Panga and do some inshore angling for Tuna as they are inshore also in abundance.

INSHORE: Lots of Tuna and Dorado inshore but mostly smaller ones but some good eating fish. Roosters are also this week's inshore action. Most are being caught tight to the beach in pangas using live bait. Probably some good surf fishing action this past week on the Pacific side but mainly close to the Old Light House.

JC,s Baja Shrimp Ceviche!!
INGREDIENTS

2 quarts water
1/4 cup kosher salt
CEVICHE
1 pound raw shrimp (21-25 per pound), peeled and deveined
Juice of 2 lemons
Juice of 2 limes
Juice of 2 oranges
1 cup diced seeded peeled cucumber (1/4-inch dice)
1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
2 serrano chiles, seeded and finely chopped
1 cup diced seeded tomato
1 avocado, chopped into 1/2-inch pieces
1 tablespoon roughly chopped cilantro leaves, plus more leaves for garnish
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1/4 teaspoon kosher salt

PREPARATION
1. Combine water and 1/4 cup salt in a large saucepan; bring to a boil over high heat. Add shrimp and immediately turn off the heat. Let the shrimp sit until just cooked through, about 3 minutes. Transfer to a cutting board until cool enough to handle, about 10 minutes.
2. Chop the shrimp into 1/2-inch pieces and place in a medium nonreactive bowl (see Tip). Add lemon, lime and orange juice. Stir in cucumber, onion and chiles. Refrigerate for 1 hour.
3. Stir tomato, avocado, chopped cilantro, oil and 1/4 teaspoon salt into the shrimp mixture. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes before serving. Garnish with cilantro leaves, if desired.
TIPS & NOTES
Make Ahead Tip: Prepare through Step 2 and refrigerate for up to 4 hours.
Kitchen Tip: A nonreactive bowl or panstainless-steel, enamel-coated or glassis necessary when cooking with acidic foods, such as lemon, to prevent the food from reacting with the pan. Reactive pans, such as aluminum and cast-iron, can impart an off color and/or off flavor.

JC,s Shrimp Stir Fry!!
Ingredients
1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 pounds jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined, tails on
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 large zucchini, diced
2 large ears of corn, kernels removed
3/4 cup red grape tomatoes, sliced in half lengthwise
3/4 cup yellow grape tomatoes, sliced in half lengthwise
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
12 to 18 fresh basil leaves, cut in chiffonade
Parmesan shavings
Juice of 1 lemon
Rice or pasta
Directions
Watch how to make this recipe
Melt the butter with the olive oil in a large skillet over a medium-high heat. Add the shrimp and garlic, then saute until the shrimp are opaque, about 3 minutes. Remove the shrimp to a plate.

Increase the heat to high, then throw in the zucchini. Stir it around for about 45 seconds, then scoot the zucchini to the edges of the pan. Throw in the corn and cook it for a minute, then push it to the edges of the pan. Throw in the grape tomatoes, stir them around for a minute, then sprinkle on some salt and pepper to taste.

Then throw the shrimp back in. Stir everything around for about 45 seconds, or until it's all combined and hot. Then pour it onto a big platter.

Sprinkle on the fresh basil and some Parmesan shavings then ... this is the best part ... squeeze the lemon all over the top. This adds a wonderful, indescribable freshness.

You can serve this with rice, with pasta or it's just perfect on its own
BEWARE: Please beware of the guys in the street selling boat charters. If you wait till the day you are fishing and go to the dock where your boat is many times people will mislead you to another boat or dock trying to put you on a boat that was not meant for you. You need to have a person guide you to your boat, who is from a reputable charter company. This way there is no confusion or misleading. Please remember when renting Sport fishing boats in Cabo that you rent your boat from reputable and established business. Walk into a fishing fleet office and ask questions about what you are getting and what are the costs? You don't want to rent boats from vendors in the streets and you do not want to book through shady websites offering you the world. Check through travel forums about reputable fishing fleets to deal with. Look for testimonials about the fleet your booking, your charter with. Ask about what will the boat be supplying? Will it include beverages or lunches? How much does it cost to fillet your catch? Check to see if charter boat is insured? Ask about getting your catch smoked? Check cost of a fishing license. These are just a few things to consider when booking your charter boat. We will be talking more about this in the next weeks fishing report. Until next time good fishing and we hope to see you in Cabo soon. Come by the office here in Cabo and get all the latest up to date fishing report. http://www.jcsportfishing.com http://youtu.be/tSXN6pifQyQ
