Anyone no were I can get a decent steel leader. We are planning a trip in June to Galveston and all I have been able to find at Wally World and Academy are really cheap looking. And have small swivels.

May your wiener schnitzel always stay above your lederhosein.

Personally I stoped using "pre-fabbed" leaders years ago. Lost too many fish due to poor quality. I use wire and pick out the better quality terminal tackle at Academy. Wire No need for special crimping tools and sleeves. I simply run one end through the eye, make a sharp bend back and then wind the wire tightly around itself about 10 times. This also allows custom length to suit the situation. If you want to make double drops or even a slider simply add a 3 way swivel.
