JC Jerry Chapman the owner of Jc Sportfishing is overheard saying I am the Timothy Leary of Sport Fishing in Los Cabos We all are wondering exactly what he meant? But the Fish Report goes on.

A NORMAL CONVERSATION BETWEEN FISH REPORT BOY and JC GOES SOMETHING LIKE THIS:

Well, as the writer of this report and hired by JC to promote him? He has declared himself an Ego Marlin Maniacand even says he is going to write a song, create a sandwich and another E book with that title. I went to JC office to confront him about this new self absorbed allegation. So I said: JC I hear you are making wild allegations again? Jc Snapped: Look you lil PanzieIf it wasnt for me, you still would be fishing for Carp in some little farm pond in Missouri!! He went on: I took you from fishing with red worms and salmon eggs to fishing Blue Marlin, and yes, if you ask me if I am a maniac your right I am. You write that stupid report for me and you are questioning me?? I was sitting here writing lyrics to my new song Ego Marlin Maniac Bluesand you interrupted me. Get out of my office now and go write that 3rd grade fishing report you write for me!! Oh by the way fish report boy I mite leave you a harmonica solo in my new blues song if your lucky!!!! Fish report boy screamed!! You will get yours JC!!!

JC,s LEGEND and LIES will continue next week!!!

Jc Sportfishing Charters is a family owned and operated business and has been fishing in Cabo San Lucas for the past 18 years. Jerry, explains that his charter business is geared more for families and novice anglers, making sure everyone who charters a boat with him have a great time and lots of fun. We welcome families, and groups. We want everyone who fishes with us to take all the sites in and have a memorable experience. This is what is most important to us. We have and do a few tournaments each year and can cater to fisherman who might be interested in tournament fishing. Well lets get on with the fishing report for this past week.

WEATHER: A couple cloudy windy days but besides that it has been pretty good. Well, we are finally getting some cooler nights and normal temperatures here in Cabo as over the last couple years, it has been warmer than normal and now it seems we are getting back to our normal weather patterns here in the richest fishing grounds in the world. Highs are in their mid to low 80,s and lows are in the ladder 50,s to low 60,s making it great sleeping weather at night. You might need to bring a sweater along for early mornings and evenings just to be on the safe side.

WATER: Wow colder water has moved into the area and I am sure this will affect our fishing grounds over the next week or so. If you view the Tempbreak map you will see most of our area is 68 to 71 degree water temperatures, and that is a big difference even compared to 2 weeks ago when it was pushing 80. It shouldnt effect Striped Marlin fishing and will definitely draw Yellowtail and more Sierras to the area.

Please check out the Tempbreak map link below to get a good idea on water temperatures.

BILLFISH: : Nothing special as far as Marlin fishing goes this past week, just SO SO.Well here is whats up the fishing has been all over the map this week it seems as if we get one really good day and then the next day real slow. The Marlin fishing has been pretty good off the Light House and as far north as Rancho Migrino and most being caught using live bait. It has honestly been a hit and miss for Marlin this past week as I think the colder water temperature is really effecting the fishing now and not just Marlin. It's that time of year what can I say?

DORADO: : Steady Dorado fishing this past week with most boats landing 3 or 4 fish per boat and most were decent sizes. The hot spots for Dorado is up and around Rancho Migrino about a miles off the beach all the way up to Golden Gate using lures, live bait and ballyhoo.

SWORDFISH: Hasn't heard of any caught this week.

WAHOO: : I havent Heard of a lot of Wahoo landed this past week, but we will keep you posted on the any Wahoo action.

TUNA: : If you run about 10 miles outside the Golden Gate offshore you will most likely run into some Tuna as there has been reports of Yellowfins being landed. All reports that I have heard of being blind strikes using cedar plugs, king busters and a little on live bait but not lots of fish.

INSHORE: : The Pangas inshore is producing SO SO numbers of the Sierras from the Solmar all the way up to the Light House with some Dorado and Red Snapper action also. The Sierra action is nothing like last week though. We also had one boat this week down in the Palmilla area catch 3 nice Rooster fish so really inshore is ok. This has been a crazy year with lots of difference species that should be gone but we are still landing them.

Wahoo Marinade Recipes!!
Ingredients:
4 wahoo steaks
1⁄2 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon lime juice
cayenne pepper, spice
1 pinch of crushed chili pepper flakes
1⁄2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
2 tablespoons minced garlic
Directions
Make you marinade, mix olive oil, lemon juice, lime juice, cayenne pepper, chili flakes in a bowl. Rinse and pat dry your wahoo and put in the marinade.Cover marinading fish and put in the fridge for 30 minutes.Heat griddle pan - you don't really need oil because you can use the oil from the marinade whilst cooking.put the fish in the pan, add salt and pepper to fish steaks. Flip them several times for even cooking and add garlic about halfway through the cook time. They take about 15- 20 minutes in total.

OR Try This Wahoo Recipe!!!
We are BIG fans of Wahoo fish and with having lived in Baja so many years, we had many occasions to experiment with this fine fish...
Wahoo fish is the fastest fish in the ocean and it's firm white flaky flesh is such a perfect texture for grilling. It is considered a prize fish when caught and is often called "ono".
One important issue with Wahoo is it can be dry, so it is important not to overcook it!
A great grilled Wahoo fish recipe is with "Mojo de Ajo" sauce. The translation is essentially "drenched in garlic". This dish is simple and a crowd pleaser. It is an easy and delicious toasted garlic butter. For garlic lovers,it will become a family favorite.
Also, keep in mind that this Mojo de Ajo Sauce can be used with any fish or shellfish. I really like this with is Tombo/ Fresh Albacore Tuna, grilled medium rare. We actually brought this back from our days of living in Mexico.
One important note, check out our other fish pages too! Many of the sauces and preparations work super for Wahoo!

BEWARE: Please beware of the guys in the street selling boat charters. If you wait till the day you are fishing and go to the dock where your boat is many times people will mislead you to another boat or dock trying to put you on a boat that was not meant for you. You need to have a person guide you to your boat, who is from a reputable charter company. This way there is no confusion or misleading. Please remember when renting Sport fishing boats in Cabo that you rent your boat from reputable and established business. Walk into a fishing fleet office and ask questions about what you are getting and what are the costs? You don't want to rent boats from vendors in the streets and you do not want to book through shady websites offering you the world. Check through travel forums about reputable fishing fleets to deal with. Look for testimonials about the fleet your booking, your charter with. Ask about what will the boat be supplying? Will it include beverages or lunches? How much does it cost to fillet your catch? Check to see if charter boat is insured? Ask about getting your catch smoked? Check cost of a fishing license. These are just a few things to consider when booking your charter boat. We will be talking more about this in the next weeks fishing report. Until next time good fishing and we hope to see you in Cabo soon. Come by the office here in Cabo and get all the latest up to date fishing report. http://www.jcsportfishing.com http://youtu.be/tSXN6pifQyQ
