I just got back from Padre Island Sunday. The Red tide started moving in ThursdayI think. Makes you eyes itch like crazy and throat scratchy with a lot of coughing. Saw a lot of people on the island Saturday wearing masks. Here is a short clip I shot on the beach Friday evening - looked like this all up and down the beach.

Its in the bay now but should start to move out with the dropping tide. Fish are still hungry and my charters this weekend and yesterday both nailed the reds and ran over to the other spot and picked up some trout.

I think you'll be fine. I had a few charters cancel for no reason. Fishing is killer right now. Can't even tell there is red tide other than seeing floating bait fish.
