Hows it going guys, I just came back from college and am look for some good fishing action. Ive been going to San Jacinto river and the surrounding areas but haven't had much luck lately...Could you tell me some spots where I can get on some Reds or black drum, or anything lol

There are a lot of good spots in the area accessible by kayak. All the fresh runoff is going to throw the normal patterns out of whack for a while. Check the Texas Kayak Fisherman site for current reports; there are a lot of anglers from the Houston area there.

You could also look on Texas parks and wildlife website for weekly reports.

launch at Louies' on Hwy 6 and Highland Bayou and fish miles of marsh and Jones Lake. they have a kayak launch area.

I fish surfside when we go with the wife and kids. Rarely get the chance of going out fishing on my own, but still fun. Last weekend caught a bunch of big whiting (12-16") and 2 slot black drums. Saw someone else catch a big ray and another guy caught a slot drum too. My catches were on fishbites/dead shrimp.

There has been some trout and reds at the jetties (both galveston and freeport).
