I use right hand reels.... but the rod never leaves my left hand. So, I don't need a left hand reel to avoid the hand switch.

I am left handed and do not have the problems. Good advice on the video and thanks as always for posting.

Great things about being a lefty growing up in a right handed world. I cast with my left and reel with my right.

Hmm...i usespinning gear exclusively. ..am righty...I cast with right hand...as lure is flying, I switch rod to left...when lure is 3ft from hitting water, I close bale...rod stays in left while right is cranking...i am right handed...so far so good, lol

My spinning reels crank from the left side; bait casters cra k from the right side
I cast right handed and switch the rod as needed.
I never worried about the split second it takes to swap hands.
I am right handed and cranking the bait caster with my left hand seems awkward, cranking the spinning reel right handed seems awkward.
The reason: its the way I was taught and learned how to cast.
The reasoning for switching to left hand bait caster is sound, but in practice would be very difficult to change after 60 years of learning how to cast.

I have always used a spinning reel but on occasions have used bait casters. Informative video.

I am right handed and cast with my right hand, reel spinning reels with left hand and bait casters with right hand BUT I recently started carrying a left handed bait caster with me mostly for when I am cranking a lot of deep divers and my right hand needs a break. Since I am used to reeling a spinning reel left handed and cast with my right it is not that big of a change.

I have a box full of right hand baitcasters in my garage storage and a rod locker in my boat full of left hand baitcasters on rods I use. I am right handed and I choose lefties for probably a couple reasons. I grew up using spinning reels with the crank on the left, It feels just natural to me to use my rods this way. Also the switching my rod back and forth seems clumsy and totally unnecessary. Just use whatever feels the best to you.
