I'll be driving through East Texas later this month. Any good suggestions on where to wet a line? Any fish is good. Thanks.

Tyler's on I-20 .

Take the first Mt. Pleasant exit and head north to "Tankersley Drive" where the Toyota dealership is . Follow it to the small park on Tankersley (lots of sunfish on the banks) . Or keep going north past Lowe's until you hit the next light . Turn left on FM 1734 and drive about 10 minutes to the spillway . You can park on the side of the road or there's an old blacktop driveway just past it . I've caught some nice black and white bass there as well a crappie .

Cast low and watch out for that dang lure-eating willow . realmad

You'll also be close to Bob Sandlin and Monticello .
