Sitting here at Brookdale park not sure what I'm doing wrong. Wind in my face four poles out two with shad two with stubbys. What size weight do y'all use? If I use 1 is my line goes crazy.

I usually use a 1 oz egg sinker. Santee Cooper Rig works well for me out there.

What does your rig look like? Santee is a good choice. It's best if you can get your bait off the bottom.

I wasn't using a float in between the sliding weight and the leader. I'll add one of these next times. Hopefully I'll be able to go to Ray hubbard or lavon while they are still shallow.
