Since we had all this rain down Houston way and rivers/creeks/bayous were pretty much washed out, what does that do to the fishing population? Obviously, some come down with the water flow upstream, but does it affect fishing for a while?

I find that when it rains, the runoff brings insects and worms and other things down with it so the baitfish seize the opportunity and eat near the shoreline where the runoff ends up. So I usually throw a shad, bluegill, crawfish or basically anything that moves close to the bank and near the shallows. I can't guarantee this'll always work but that's why it's called fishing and not catching lmao
