I am possibly making a trip to the river soon and will be wading around all day. Are there any kind of slings, straps, etc that I could use to carry multiple rods while fishing standing in the river? It would need to be comfortable and ease to use, something with a chest strap or backpack type holder is what I am imagining. Know of anything like that?

Thanks,

Eric.

Have you tried to fit your rods in an actual backpack? I've been thinking about doing that incase I want to go hiking out to a creek but I haven't tried it yet.

My backpack has chest straps as well and is padded really nice around the shoulders and spine.

Tried it before and it's hit or miss depending on what rods and the backpack. Mine doesn't work very well for that, I'm wanting to have 2 spinning and 1 baitcaster and the baitcaster is a 7ft 1 piece....... Some rods will stay in nicely and some will move back and forth and eventually fall out.

Ah, sadness. My rods actually split into 2 pieces. You could always rig up a sling using some Velcro and straps. I hope you don't mind sewing/stitching.
