Finally, after going through some trials and tribulations, I'm about ready to move to the Hill Country. I'm considering Marble Falls. At my age and abilities, I've decided not to buy a boat. I'll hire a guide 10-12 Times a year and bank/pier fish the rest of the time. I don't get around too well, so take that in mind. My first choice of fish is probably white bass/hybrids, second choice is catfish or crappie. Given this, where would you choose to live and fish. Please, any suggestions are appreciated. FWIW, I would consider someplace other than Marble Falls. Thanks, captdavid

Lake LBJ is a good choice for all the species you mentioned. Marble Falls would be a good place to live. Has everything you need from a big city in a small city setting.

Keep on fishing.

Lots of good places to bank fish in the Marble Falls Area. Lake Marble Falls (Colorado River),Johnson Park which is in Marble Falls,Inks Lake State Park,Lake LBJ,and the Llano River just to name a few places. You also have just right down from Marble Falls the Blanco River and the Perdernales River. Both super places to fish. fish

Sunrise Beach is great! I lived there a few years ago...had the big canal in my back yard...little bass buggy...just hop in and go! Caught lots of fish off my little dock too. I think LBJ is under estimated for its crappie, whites, largemouth, and good flatheads. When Buchanan has water, it's right there and has several great docks to fish on. When it has water...
I would move back in a heartbeat!
