Hello folks,

I'm headed out to Big Bend on this Thursday from Houston Texas. Anyone know of some little spots I can stop off at to wet the line? I wish raibow trout were still at South llano River State Park... it was a blast to stop by there for an hour and limit out.

Heading west on I-10.. past Junction, Tx ( S. Llano River SP), then heading south at Balmorhea State Park. from there, I'm driving through Alpine, Marfa and Marathon. I really don't know that area so if anyone could help me get my fishing fix so I won't go crazy driving 12 hours... please help.

THANKS!!!!

Just do what I do when I go on a road trip. Take some gear and just fish the rivers and creeks you cross. Might be surprised at what you might stumble across. Good luck

Dude...take the southern route that swings by Amistad. I bet you could pick up some spawners from the bank right now. That's what I'd do, and its a better drive anyway.
