When you fish from shore for bass, what strategies do you employ? What lures do you use first, how do you know when to switch lures, how long do you stay at one location before moving on? Thanks.

I mainly fish soft plastics on small ponds.
One rod with a moving bait, like a swim bait or grub.
The other rod with a jika rig creature bait or worm.
I'll walk the shore, stopping where I think the fish will be.
If I make 30-50 casts without a strike, I'll change up bait color, style or presentation technique until I find what works.

I'm no pro, but it works for me.

Chatterbaits, shallow sqaurebill crank baits, spinnerbaits, roostertails, lipless cranks
Trig craws worms and shaky heads, wacky worm
1 rod for moving baits, the other for slow moving baits

I start dissecting with a wacky worm. If that's working, I'll move to a crankbait to see what sizes come off of that. If I'm catching15"+ I'll move to chatterbait and then destroy the area with a shakey head. I try yo stay mobile but if you are getting constant bites at one place, camp out
