Hello guys. I'm new to the forum and this is my first post. I'm originally from Mississippi, but I just moved to the DFW area from Gainesville, FL where I went to college at UF. Been using google maps and info on this forum to try to find nice spots to bank fish for bass near Grand Prairie. I found Towne Lake in Irving and decided to check it out. I've been able to catch some pretty solid bass in the smaller of the two ponds the last couple of days. Here's a few pics. The bottom two are the same fish. About how much do you guys think the largest weighed?
Fish were caught on Zoom trick worms in watermelon seed, and Zoom finesse worms & lizards in chartreuse-pumpkin.

Welcome to Texas! Are you talking about the one off Hardrock Road?

It's on Esters Rd. in Irving. Put these coordinates in Google Maps: 32.82147,-97.009234

Irving is actually loaded with great fishing spots. I miss working over there. Used to fish every weekday and often drove there on weekends just to fish.

I wanted to try Northwest Park but haven't made it over there yet. I figured I'd stay at this place until it stopped producing consistently. I still haven't even bothered with the larger pond much yet.

Ya I know about this pond. Just wanted to make sure you weren't fishing on the one next to it (northwest of this pond on the map). That one off Hardrock is private property. They'll ticket you there.

Fished it Saturday. Was looking for fish on bed but didn't find any. Missed one on a topwater.

I went out there today, twice actually.

I saw several other fishermen, and fisherwomen, both times.

Caught about ten small bass, three or four sunfish, and about ten pounds of weeds.

The only two big ones I had threw the hook before I could get them to shore.

It was a really nice pond, and I plan on going back.
