Can you fish this "lake" or is it private? I can't find anything online saying you can't. Has anybody caught anything out of this place?

You really aren't supposed to fish there but can if you do it right. Fishing at night or away from the apartments or buildings is the key. As far as fish go, there are plenty of catfish, bass and crappie in it. I'm sure it has some of everything in it though.

This is what I was able to pull up from the DCURD website.
No public boating or fishing shall be allowed on District waterways. Boating or fishing permits will only be issued for approved special events.

Night time is the right time. Anthony is correct. Away from the apartments. Office buildings for the most part once business hours are done, no one is gonna say much. Was out there Monday night, had a security guard walk right past me, he was checking locked doors in the office bldg i was fishing in front of, and he said NOT ONE WORD to me, smiled and kept walking.
Now the Deputy Dawgs at the 4 seasons can be real a-holes, some of them, others just politely tell you that no fishing is allowed in front of the hotel, and hang around till you leave. Shame too. One of the primary crappie spawing spots, also bedding bass, BIG ones, in the spring.

Where did you find the info on the DCURD site? Didn't find anything except types of activities you can do at LC. Anyone know actual laws that you would be violating by fishing there/what you would get charged for? (private property on the sidewalk so tresspassing or abiding by the owners rules? city property and law that states they can restrict fishing? etc?) The water technically has public access because under bridges are public property and therefore fishing allowed...making the actual water part public...
Eric.
