I'm still a little new to the area so I was wondering if anybody had some tips on some creeks or ponds to fish near Flower Mound. I have a boat and a kayak that I like to fish out of but sometimes it's great to walk or wade. I fish Grapevine most of the time and I know of Denton Creek at 377 but I was wondering if there was anything else near me that would be fun to check out. Anywhere I could chunk a fly rod would be great. Thanks!

I've heard that LLELA is pretty cool. I need to go check it out. I took my nephew out to rheudasil pond to show him how to fly fish and he loved it. We didn't catch anything though

Pecan Creek that feeds Lewisville is a real clear creek when you get pretty far up. I have seen some people wading and fly fishing with success.

There are a series of ponds near Grapevine Creek in Coppell between 121 and Denton Tap (west of Andrew Brown Park). The bass can be hit or miss in the ponds but the ponds also are next to Grapevine Creek and you can access it. Don't know about fly fishing the creek because of trees but you can definitely kayak it and or fish it with a regular rod.

Just North of the Shady Shores ramp. Your bank access is down the road by Bill Utter Ford.

I live in this area and bank fish near here 3-4x per week. Shoot me a PM and I can put you on some really good spots.

Lewisville, Ray Roberts and Grapevine. The crappie fishing is really good right now on Ray Roberts and if we get plenty of rain the spring creek runs will be awesome on all 3 lakes I guide on.
