Well I have finally managed to get a bit of time off and am heading to Texoma tomorrow. Unfortunately I will be getting there mid-afternoon. Any suggestions on how to catch ANYTHING from the bank at the state park during the hottest part of the day??? I normally don't bank-it on a bluebird sunny day when it is 94 outside. But it can't be helped and I will try my best. ;-) Any suggestions you ladies and gents have would be greatly appreciated!!!!!

I did confirm the park is open, and I do know how to get there by not using hwy 91.

Every thing I've read lately is the striper bite is hit and miss, lots of small sandies, and the catfish bite is on. Lots of people catching blues right now. If I were bank fishing around there I would probably target the catfish. Live shad or cut bait seems to be the bait of choice. And some of the local guys swear by lil smokies. I've never caught a thing on them though.

The bream fishing should be good around the marina if you are into that. Good luck. Post some pics.

If it ain't yours don't mess with it!

Update.........

Well I don't think I did to bad. 26 fish in two days, which was about 6-7 hours of fishing total between thursday and friday. Mostly largemouth bass. The fish are healthy looking and heavy in that fishery! I caught my largest bass, which was probably 3+ pounds on my super ultralight rig. It was a 1/80th oz olive green jig on 4# test. She was a beauty. I think in the end I had 21 LMB and 5 bluegill.

I fished mostly off to the left of the lighted fishing pier. There was one scrawny tree providing a little bit of shade... smile They liked the jigs or anything that had a flash to it, from beetle spins to shad-raps!
