I live in northwest Louisiana and have a young grandson who lives in Austin, TX. He really likes to fish for bream and wants me to take him fishing the next time we come to Austin. I am looking for someplace that I can take him to bream fish from the shore. Size really does not matter to him. Also, can you recommend a place where we can buy some crickets? If anyone could offer some suggestions it would be appreciated.

Lady Bird Lake has a lot of bank space. Very easy to get to. It is in South Austin just outside of downtown. There is a huge park just off of interstate 35. Lots of parking and places to fish. Lake Austin also has lots of bank area.
IGFA World Record Rio Grande Cichlid. Lake Dunlap. John 3:16 Sinner's Prayer. God forgive me a sinner. I accept Jesus Christ as my Savior !

Recently moved to Austin and came here to find exactly this. Are there any places out west before Lake Travis that someone would recommend with access to banks. Basically Lake Austin but a specific spot that has decent bank access, most places ive found require a bit of hiking and taking rods though a decent amount of brush.
