I fished the north side of Caliham last week, near the rocky point and the swimming section with no success. I was mostly using crank baits and cut shad bait.

It's been raining recently so hopefully that will help the bite pick up around here.
Let's see if we can get some more people to post, and maybe help each out.

I went down there three weeks ago looking for white bass in Tilden and on the San Miguel boat ramp but everything was dry. I ended up at Caliham Park and fished off the rock jetty, I caught four Large mouth bass using Rat-l-traps.

Hey guys, still getting used to this site, great to know about the bank fishing section! I have been going to calliham since the first week of January and I gotta say it has been pretty good. As I've reported before on other sections, have caught over a dozen lmb, all dinks though, a literal mess of freshwater drum, dozen or so blue cats, one of them just under 4lbs, 3 white bass, and 1 crappie. All caught on minnows and nightcrawlers. Never had freshwater drum but I hear they are good table fare. If work or the"law" allows me, I will be headed down there again wednesday or thursday. I also tried some plastics and a clackin rap, got skunked. Last year my 2 sons and I were killing the whites, crappie, and lmb on roadrunners and cotton cordells gayblades. Since the San Miguel is down, all of my fishing has been at calliham.

Minnows I get at the handy stop coming in to three rivers from 281. Its has a sign that says live bait. Pretty decent sized and great brisket and sausage tacos as well.
