Last night I was attempting some olive articulated streamers (for the first time) using rabbit strips. To add a little something extra I decided to add stripes using a brown Sharpie. Although I LOVE the way it looks, the Sharpie seems to make the rabbit fur clump together and lose some of its wiggle, even after it's dry. Anyone have suggestions on alternative ways to mark on rabbit fur?

I use Copic markers and have not had any issues. However, they're definitely pricier than a Sharpie.

Alternatively I would try using a velcro brush or toothbrush to brush the fibers separate after it dries. You may lose a few hairs, but it should get things separated.

That's what I've always done and the clumping was never an issue. I do need to check out Copic markers though.

Early on I decided that fishing would be my way of looking at the world. First it taught me to look at rivers. Lately is has been teaching me how to look at people, myself included.

Have you looked at barred zonker strips?
