That is awesome man! The easiest ways I can think of would be something along these lines. It would require bending some thin wire or the wood one would be easy as well but for just a single lure.

If you ain't catching fish, you ain't holding your mouth right.

Thanks! I'm thinking like a little pice of wood that maybe I can lodge the hook in and maybe glue some aquarium plants to? Not too much just 1 or 2.
Oh and I changed it a little

Looks good! You picked that up very fast! Better watch out or your gonna be into trying with what fly tiers use and that stuff gets costly fast! I know as I have a bunch of it! I can't even tell you how many fine capes and saddles I have that are the kind for fly tying, LOL! Jump into some of the flies and see where it takes you.

Thanks Skip! Yeah this hobby is definitely not saving me any money roflmao! It is fun though! I don't really fly fish but I am going to make some little hair poppers cause I do like to fly fish in ponds. Haven't done it since I was a kid. But that's what we used when my granddad taught me how. I have one of his old rod and reels so I'm gonna give it a go soon. Again, thanks for the compliments! Means a lot coming from one of the masters!

Edit: I'd also like to try a little cricket or grasshopper fly to see if it'll work under a bobber for my daughter thumb

Tie that cricket on a 1/64 jig head and hammer the bream. No cork needed.

Get you a long wine bottle cork and a nice, finished wood base (both at Hobby Lobby) and attach the cork to the base wiry a screw (from under the base) then just stick the hook into the cork. It'd make an excellent paper weight. Very COOL looking tie!! Or, a decorative wine bottle with the cork in the top but sticking out a bit.

Good idea Pepop! If I don't go with the stick and vegitation I'll probably do it that way.
