Only thing wrong for me is the size, LOL1 However I love the little 1/32 Oz ones! I have some 1/16 and 1/8, but really hardly ever tie one on. THe 1/32 will be tied on my line from Feb through May at least.
Nice ties.

Those do look very nice. I will tell the story about this jig as we have a lot of new tiers on here. This is called the Blakemore jig and can not be made for resale as it belongs to the Blakemore Company. Twenty six years ago they got a copy-right on it. The copy-right is good for the life of those ever name it is in plus 70 years from there death. All this jig is the fact that the weight is right for the spinners to work as they should. The way and what a spinner bait is to look like a bait fish that has a fish about to eat it. The idea is a second fish will rush over and try to get it first. It does work but the Blakemore is the only one that the spinner on bottom so as when pulled it is in back of the jig part. It is the bottom weight that does it and will not work right with out it.

Those small RR do work great sometimes in winter with a jigging motion like fishing for white bass. Usually get hit on the fall. 1/16 and 1/8 work very well for this type jigging.

Larry I don't mean to be picky, but there are a couple things wrong with your story. First they do not have a copyright, they have the design Trademarked which is better than a copyright because copyright has a limited time to it. Next is I also have the right to tie and sell Blakemore Roadrunners, but I just got lucky as I don't think anyone else has been able to buy unpainted heads from them, but I got lucky and have been doing that for a long time now. It's true for the most part though.
I doubt that I will ever buy any more though as I have more than I will ever use since my tying has slowed down so much and I wouldn't sell all I had anyway. Also though one can buy the mold for a pony head that is the same design and pour them for their own use, but can not sell them legally.
Bass Pro use to sell a under spin called Stump Jumper and the guy that made them got sued over them and lost everything! He emailed me and we talked that way for him to tell me the story because I had posted a pony head and he saw it. So he told me that would not be legal and I didn't believe him at first, but once he told me all it was easy to see it was well worth being careful about this!

What I said above came from the lawyers about 23-24 years ago. So you may well be right, but as late as last year the jig heads have to come from Blakemore and no one else can make them. Are at least that is what I was told when it was checked out then. No way would I have any thing to do with less than making all of it. As the people have proved how they would do if the money's right.

Well seems to me if you bought the jig heads from them they should be since that would boost their sales..... Weather one would do a hand tie on their head & sell the jig should not be a concern to them... Just for the records.... "I don't tie to sell"....I like fishn to much.....

Yea but I did leave out part of the story, the road runner had been around for years and we all made what we needed to sell. Blakemore did not come up with the idea of the jig to start with. Just came up with the claim on it. I was not in any law suit, but I think there was 55 of us that put up about 650 dollars each to see if there claim would stand up in court. It would, so we all as for as I know, none of us have never use even one of there jigs. Sure that was ok with them as the road runner is a Wal-Mart type jig.

Oohhh WOW, is he from around these parts? That's shady to claim something most were using already..... Makes me not want to support them anymore.....
