How many of you tie with marabou? I am just wondering if enough guys tie with it to get me to get some bulk colors of it. I am thinking it's not something a lot of you use, not sure why since it's the best stuff there is for action. However if tying it the best way it's not fast to tie at all, but I guess using that tiny stuff where you use the entire feather as a tail would be faster than even hackle, but the way I tie it, it's much slower which I am glad not all that many call waiting jigs with marabou except for my Roadrunners, lol!

LOL, I stay away from it, unless its a GOOD friend that needs jigs. I would MUCH rather use your neck hackle.

I have, and I will, but the little bit that I have will last me a looonnnng time. I just don't prefer it except on roadrunners. Really can't give you a reason why except hackle looks better lol. For me marabou doesn't take very much longer to tie. Just a few seconds to pull the barbules and tie on. I don't have to worry about getting the marabou to lay right like I do with hackle. You know some hackle lays perfect with ease, but then you get the ones that just don't do what you want them to. Especially with a 2 color tail, I think marabou is easier in this case

Well that do really understand, but let me tell you one thing about looks Cowboytex, look at marabout in the water, not dry on a table. Just tie one on and put it down in the water so your can watch it as you move along with your TM. It's amazing when moving slow and up and down a little and looks much like a small fish swimming!
Anyway I get it and it is faster using Hackle and actually the Hackle tail will last a bit longer, but I also know you can catch over 100 crappie on a marabou tail, it just gets wore down, but they seem to like it t even when more is gone than what is left.
Don't worry about it and will just keep what I have. I actually got the. To make me some special shade of Chartreuse a couple years ago that I do really love!
Thanks for answering guys,
