Tried to make four jigs with the same pattern. Did I made the tails too long?

On average, your heart beats 100,000 times a day. One day, one of those heartbeats will be your last. Then what?

The answer is found in Jesus Christ who said "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." John 10:10

The tail think is a time of year thing, if you think they are hitting to far back instead of the hook go shorter. And if not getting hits try longer. Tying jigs is all about what they will do in the water.

Looking good. Even some room for tail trimming if you are getting short strikes.

Buckeye brings up a very good point here, for those of you who have not been doing jigs that long. Any time you trim a feather jig do while the jig is wet This gives you that in the water look, not just the ones to long but also if you are off a little while putting it together.

I get accused of making my tails too long all the time. But I just had crappie fer lunch, so I'll listen to the fish. Anyway, when I think I'm gettin short strikes I'll go to a smaller jig... I try to tye mine 1 1/2 the length of the hook shank.

Nice chickens!!!
