I personally would get 3-4 colors of powder paint.......... Red, White, Black, Blue...
Then I could blend and get all the colors I want. Powder painting is REALLY easy and blending is easier than you would think. Once you got your powder paint all you need is a lighter and unpainted jig head.
If you decide to go this way.... if you are anything like me... you will add more and more and more colors to your "list" so you might as well buy every color they have then a bunch of little containers so you can create your custom blends..... then you will need a bigger tackle box.... By the time it is all said and done getting purple jig heads costs.....

Most of the time the crappie don't care about the jig head color; an unpainted head does fine. Of course, we fishermen see it differently! lol
