Question for ya'll. Does Lake Whitney have very much of a large blue cat population that would make trying it drift fishing worth while?

Lake Whitney has tons of bluecats up to 30lbs. Not many over 30 due to the fish kills. Check the river channel ledges near Steele creek point all the way to cedar creek. That whole area is good. Just not great for drifting. Whitney has really defined creek channels, and river channels, and you can snag all your rigs at once in those areas. Most of the river channel in that area is 50ft outside of the channel 15 to 20ft. It's a strait drop also. It's not gradual. So I would try to locate some fish in the channel, or near the ledge, and then position the boat where you can anchor in 15ft, but be able to fish 50+. You can pm me if you need any more info. thumb
