Is anybody catching any good numbers of blues on Belton lake ?Ive been trying to catch BIGGER fish on the old river channel in the main lake but its full of trees ( a lot of trees ) . Been trying to find shad on graph then drifting when i see the catfish arches , sometimes they bite and sometimes they have lock jaw .

Find fish where theres NOT big balls of bait. If theres big numbers of bait and fish underneath that tells me the bait isnt nervous and fish arent feeding. If you find very small scattered bait and fish those fish are feeding and have scattered the bait. Look for fall transitioning areas on the lake. With fall temperatures going back and forth bait fish will scatter and therefore catfish as well. Try drifting to cover more water.
