Anyone have an opinion on a good knot, or do you use a 3-way swivel or what? I don't have any 3-way swivels, lol. For tying a hook above a weight, the weight would be on bottom. This is to fish for catfish near the bottom. And how far up from the weight would you put your hook? Fishing on a river and it's 12-25 feet deep at this time.
Also, the river has deeper holes here and there. Would you fish those deep holes or shallow spots or what?
Been catching blues at night on limb lines but morning or late afternoon when it's not so terribly hot is appealing, too.
Lastly, I saw a guy put a small cork above his hook and the entire rig, float and all was near the bottom. I don't recall exactly how or why he did it but I do recall that the float was not on top of the water, it was near the hook and weight. What is that for?
