On Wednesday I had Patrick, AJ, and Conway out for a fun day on Somerville. Those boys have some fun when they are together for sure.

It seems the bite gets lighter each day.

We found fish in 10 foot water today. Lake is dropping about 3" per day now.
... They ended the morning with 30 cats for the trip.

On Thursday I had Ray and his friend Cleon, from Baytown, and grandson Camden from Friendswood out for the morning on Somerville.

Lake is now 16.25' high and dropping almost 3" per day. Winds were light which made for a warm day of fishing.

The bite has been light enough that we sometimes set the hook before the cork even goes under water...however, today close to 3/4 of our fish were caught without taking the cork under water.

Camden landed big fish at 4 3/4#. They ended the morning with 41 cats in the cooler.

All cats caught on CJ's Shad punch bait, using corks, in 8-12 foot water.
