I've seen several people talk about using Lil Smokies as bait on juglines. My question is what type of catfish do you catch mostly with them, channel or blues? Based on discussion here, I started using chicken and caught mostly blues. So I was wondering if they produced differently.

With Lil Smokies we catch both channels and blues. I've always been told if you want channel cats, fish your bait on the bottom. A blue cat feeding range is any where from the bottom to the top of the water. When we set jugs, we mostly catch blue cats. I do know we have caught channel cats at different depths also. But the majority of the times they are at the bottom.
