I plan on trying Walter E Long lake this weekend for catfish.
Has anyone had done good on this lake or know anything about it for catfish?
Do you think I would be better off sticking with Granger? My 2 boys and I usually get us at least a handful of good eaters out of Granger but I have heard since Walter E Long being a power plant lake over by the discharge warm water it's a quiet kept secret lake for catfish in East Austin. Does anyone know anything or has anyone done good on catfish there?

I go to church with a guy who fish Long. He does good there. If you go let me know how you do. Might just have to give it a try myself.

Ya lets us know how you do, only fished couple of time loooong time ago. It's 30 minutes from my house and I hardly fish it! If you catch some, I might have to throw some rods that direction

Looks like on navionics.webapp there is a nice flat rock pile on the right side split of the lake right by the powerplant output, should be good and hot over there for those cats. I'm going to try it out, see what happens. Has anyone else tried that lake out recently?
