The Summertime Blue Cat bite on RC is on fire as we're catching lots of "Eaters" and an occasional BIG FISH! We're making about a 15 minute trip up the Richland Arm of the Lake, tying up to timber where the Creek Channel drops off into 25' plus water and never leaving till we have a box full of fish. Danny Kings Blood Punch Bait on a # 4 treble hook is all you need. You'll throw back about 2 to 1 as the Slot on RC is producing thousands of small fish, but you can keep enough for a fish fry and even catch some big ones if you can get them out of the timber! fish

The action is great for Families and Kids and we have August openings starting Saturday, August 15th!

Here's pics from last week as we fished everyday except for one and had a 50 fish box or more every trip! Only one Slot fish for the week but she was a good one and released to be caught again!

Check us out at www.gonefishin.biz and give us a call for a memorable trip!!! bannana2

Tell TPWD to remove the slot,.. in a few years your clients will catch fatter catfish, and go home happier. thumb

Why do I go fishing? To catch a box of fish and/or some quality time under the sun. Thank Heaven I never fail fishing in Texas, catching box fish or plenty of sunburn.

Bankfisher,

You may be right, but I think the slot has slowed the overharvesting of Big Cats by Trotliners, Jugliners and Trophy Catfishermen. I think we may have the best of both worlds with a lot of Trophy fish, and a whole lot more Eaters for the fisherman who just wants his line tugged and a fish fry when he gets home.

I may be wrong but I've fished RC since 1994 and Guided since 2000 and it's never been better for Catfishing in my opinion.

Good Luck!
