I went and got a 1 gallon bucket of big Marv's and lewis kings punch bait today and I went back and put my boat in at boat ramp six and of course it starts but right when I give it throttle it dies. Any way I paddled out to some sticks and threw some range cubes in and fished for a hour and got nothing. Since I can't fix my boat motor I'm gonna have to bank fish. Do y'all know of any good areas around canyon lake to bank fish? Need help on catching a lot of channels. Please help

Potters Creek boat launch #21 had a fishing dock but don't know if it's still there after the flood.
Don't take this wrong, but but when I was 16 years old I walked miles of river bank looking for good places to fish.
I would check the areas around some of the launches for likely looking areas. Don't fish off the launches because you'll get ticketed, but towards the backs of the coves where you can get access from a boat launch.
Also some of the parks have miles of shoreline.
Finding heavily beaten paths along the shorelines and looking for beer cans and worm boxes, disgarded lure packages also tip you off to what may be a favorite spot.
Canyons shoreline is mostly rock, with steep dropoffs, but if you can find some sand or gravel with a gentle slope to deeper water with some hardwood, it's money.
Here is a hint....Boat ramp #17 off to the right of the ramp. smile

Had our local meat locker plant catch me two gallons of fresh beef blood into 1 gal. cans with 1lb. of sugar in each can they chilled it and I picked it up that afternoon, brought it home and put into our frig.(wife was not happy!!! LOL) my question is how do I proceed to finish making my blood bait for my trout lines for a moderately swift Leon River that will stay on with the moderately swift current. Question by 63yrs.young thank you fellow catfish fisherman. P.S. Had the blood in frig since 7/20/2015. Thanks again for any suggestions.
