Will be spending anniversary there with the wife Memorial Day Weekend. Any spots on the north end where a fellow might get some shad for some rod and reel catfishing on the north end? Maybe the ramp at Big Chief?

I don't have any information on the north end of the lake. But there were shad all over the clear creek arm of the lake last weekend. They were not huge, but they were everywhere. Early in the morning there was about a 1 foot wide column of shad along my retaining wall. There we also large schools on topwater about an hour before sundown. Maybe my post will encourage someone with more specific information for you.

We had decent luck catching shad at Big Chief last weekend. If you've got an old-school seine net, you can seine the boat ramp from the sidewalk Alot of smaller shad, 3" or so, not many bigger ones.
