Hello guys! Im looking for some good size shad? Any one know of any locations of where I could get any with my cast net? Im going fishing with some of my buddies on sunday and would like to get some shad to use as bait for the kitties? By the way guys thank you for all of the info and tips and technics! You guys are very helpfull and informative! I am very greatfull. thanks again!

I found a great deal of large gizzards on the main lake in about 5' just after dusk last night. I just got out where I thought they should be and set and waited till I began to see the rings on the water.

Whiterock creek north side of the bridge at nite. 1 good throw will get you plenty of hookers, the gizzards are a little tougher to find but they are there to

Thank you Capt. and Mell! I will go and give it a try and see what happens? Hope fully I catch some good bait since Im going out with the buddies tonite. BY the way do yall by any chance now a good way to keep shad for the next day fishing?

They are better before they are frozen, just make sure they are dry, put them in a ziploc baggie and bury them in ice, the big ones will keep 4 or 5 days like that before they get mushy!!!
