First off, today was a good day on the lake. Started with some good wind and beautiful skies. Plenty of shad and perch for bait. The 898c si was at its finest in locating the desired species along with myself as CAPTAIN, of course. Son and Son-in-Law did well in today's lessons and they caught many fish, (25) total. The Apache danced in the winds today to the beat of the Windsocks. Unfortunately, the first photo of the 2 fish were not caught by us, but I did learn exactly where and on what. That is top secret info and at this point and cannot be released. Those 2 fish were at least 30 to 35 lbs. The second photo is of the boys with their 4 largest at 10.5 lbs and down. There are some big blues in this lake. I saw you out there, Joel, how did you do?? Can't wait for our first tournament out there. I programed the LOOMIS telephone # in my cell phone in eager anticipation of the awards.

Nice catch Jim. Those are some nice ones. I was wondering if the rains would have any effect on the bite and it looks like it helped. You know, I do have a top secret G-14 classified clearance so you can tell me, lol. Good fishin!

Mike, I checked with the Pentagon, they researched the classified information and said that an H-15 clearance was required.

Yes, we were drifting, and no, no reds. We were there from about 7am to 1pm. Took downriggers but did well the cats and decided to call it quits.

Hi Mike, I was looking for you out there today and saw two kayakers but not you. That was a nice red perch you caught. It looked like the ones we were using for cut bait. lol

I usually stay away from the lakes in the canoe on the weekends, although the rides you get are cheaper than Six Flags!! Also, the heat was wearing me down a little bit while paddling, especially those 100 degree + days. I may head out later this week after this tropical disturbance does its thing. Oh yeah, I did catch a carp(on Big Marv's of all things)and cut it up and have it in the freezer to try. Still no buffalo at the HEB though.

Nice job Jim! I think this winter the Blue record will fall on Cally. Now I'm bitting at the bit to get back out there!! Those first two, did you meant 30-35 each or together? They may have caught a record. For such a small lake, I kind of hate to see the big ones at the table. Oh well, I'm sure there are many more!

Hi John, they were 30 to 35 each and I would not have kept them. I only would take pics and send them back but those guys filleted them, what a shame. Checked with the Pentagon again and the information has become so classified that they said even Obummer could not qualify.
