Fished the bank of the northeast end of Ray Hubbard Saturday late afternoon. Water was chilly and the bait was scarce; only managed 2 threadfin in the cast net after about a dozen throws. Luckily I brought worms.

Fed several worms to some small fish until I finally managed to catch one, which turned out to be a yellow bass. Once the sun went down the cats finally showed up but in small numbers. It was pretty hit or miss. Managed 4 channels, one on a shad and the rest on worms. One was small, only about 14" but the others were good eating size, 2-3 lbs each. Nothing picture worthy.

All in all it was a fun trip. The dog had a blast, the weather was great and we got to eat some fresh fried catfish.
