Had Bob and Brenda out again today on Lewisville on a blue cat trip. I thought it was gonna be a great day with the strong winds stirring up the lake. The fish did bite but just didn't want to commit all the way to the bites. They had close to 100 bites but only hooked up with 19 cats out of them all. Crazy day on the water and it happens sometimes. Pulled a bunch of hooks on bigger fish as well that must have been hooked inside the mouth and hooks just popped loose. They had a good time and enjoyed the lake today. They also left with 2 gallons of catfish fillets as well. I have openings in November for trips and even still have this Saturday morning open right now. Go to www.ntxfishing.net or contact me at 972-342-8803 to book a trip.

It really was pretty strong winds. I managed to stay drifting from .5 to .7 mph almost all the time. Fastest we hit was .8 mph all day. The wind was right and the fish were there. Drove over areas with side imaging and could see stacked fish grouped up. They just bit and spit baits all day. I joke with my customers sometimes and say it's all male fish today because they have some serious commitment issues. You have days like yesterday and can't catch a break and you have days they you limit with 50 fish on 1 drift in an hour and a half. That's why it's fishing instead of catching I guess. This weather today is making my neck swell a little. I bet it's getting some others a little excited too.
