boat is almost ready to get wet...have been bank fishing grapevine several times since first of the month with no luck,,,i have read that there is a ton of baitfish so I am guessing that's why they aren't biting on punchbait or worms or cherry koolaid wieners,,,,tried rockledge park this morning thinking the bait fish would be blown to the north side of lake so that's where the kittys would be but no luck at all,,,,any suggestions????

Keep an eye on the barometer to plan for a more successful outing catching fish. Ideally, a barometric of 29.95 to 30.05 is best with a minor fluctuation of .05 either way not doing much harm. Also check the Solunar Tables in your area to fish the 'feeding periods' during the day. Also keep an eye on the moon phases, new and full, to help pick 'best days' to fish during the month. Usually a couple days either side of each phase is good. You may also want to review "Lynn's Catfish Calendar" on this site. And lastly, I have never had any good success fishing an easterly wind.

These tips work for better planning catching and not just fishing.

20% cattle cubes is your friend on GV. Don't let anyone see your throw that laundry bag of cubes out or they will take over your spot. I like to chum every evening for about 2 to 3 days and then fish the spot early in the morning. There is a lot of good fish in GV now since all the flooding has gone and little to no pressure.
Eater catfish should be easy to catch very soon.

From Genesis: "And God promised men that good and obedient wives would be found in all corners of the earth."

Then He made the earth round...and He laughed and laughed and laughed!
