I caught 15 channel cats yesterday morning before sun came out in 2-5ft. of water. They are both shallow and deep

Caught about 70 between sat and Sunday with some friends. All the hooks on the trotline were only like 2 foot if not less under the water .

The water was about 6-10 ft deep where we were at could touch bottom with an oar in some places were bringin in some nice ones 14s 20s a 25 . The hook was probably 2ft under the surface and they were hittin hard in the day time ( moring around 10 or 11 o'clock)

The big fish should start biting again soon. New regs on big fish go into affect Sept 1.... Y'all put the big fish back,

Ahh new regs ain't that bad long story short 7 of your 25 can be up to 20 in long and 2 of those 7 can be 30 in long ... Or somthin n close to what I just said we'll find out when the GWs decide to explain it to me one of these days ! They just tryin to save the big fish for breeding which is fine by me I want my kids catchin trophys too !!
