Best catfish rig hands down is the basic Cooper santee rig.. Way less complicated than all that.. I'm sure that'll work, but I'd stay away from using steel leaders and snap swivels.. A 2oz weight and 8/0 circle hook will go a long way for cat fishing.

That could work for channels but I would listen to South. Personally I use 1oz weight and 7/o circle hooks. In my opinion the biggest decision to make is the length of the leader and where to put the cigar float. Those change, for me at least, depending on the spot. Water depth, structure, etc...

Those clips are useless. You need to use circle hooks and snell them.

3 way swivel. 18 inch line to the weight. 9 inch line to the circle hook.
If you put live bait on that rig its gonna get tangled.

I use punch bait I plan on using treble hooks
