Need advice on mounting the structure transducer for Lowrance HDS9 Gen 2 on my g3 boat with tunnel drive...56 inch bottom...with pods..
I have room for the down transducer where my old Garmin transducer is located. However, there doesn't seem to be room for the structure transducer. On the right side I have the down transducer mounted ...on the right side I have the drain...the intake for water for the bait tank...also have the tunnel taking up a large amount of space..leaving no more room for the transom mount. One suggestion is to have a bracket welded to one of the pods and mount it there on the back side of the pod. I have been told that is the only place to mount the transducer as the motor and the pods will interfere with reception. Mounting on the back of the pods also leaves me open to damage to the transducer. So...I ask, where do others mount their transducers?
thanks all help appreciated
