For the Christmas break I had Thursday -- Monday Off so I decided to do some fishing on lake Waco as much as I could. Just roughly guessing I spent about 20 hours fishing and only managed 3 catfish. I fished in the main lake drifting using fresh shad. I fished varying depths and then moved to the rivers and fished different depths using chicken breasts soaked in Dead Red, Frozen shad which is all I had for shad, and Stubby's Stink Bait. The bite was terrible but I did have fun being outdoors just wish I could get in the groove of catching something. My new girlfriend is starting to think I'm a terrible fisherman. crying

fishing has been off a little with 80 degree christmas and rain. Tell her the only way to get better is with practice. That may help on many levels

The gene pool could use a little chlorine.

Go to your nearest "Farm Supply", feed store and pickup a few "GOAT Blocks"! Drop them and remember where, you did! They will draw the channels for a week or so, dependent on the current! Use some kind of stinky bait and have some fun!

Well not sure how terrible it is but last few weeks i noticed some nice reports from my buddy in waco . He told they are releasing water below waco dam and he's been catching nice blues and hybrids on cut shad . Last big one he caught there few days earlier was 26# including few nice eaters .
