 trotline leader tieing question

if I go throught tieing my leaderline to the leader clips with a figure 8 not
think it will be ok?

Make a loop by doubling up the line and tying an overhand knot, run the loop through the clip, pull the rest of the line through the loop and pull tight.

yep, for setline....that knot is the best you will find.
