I'm in Southern, OK, and am wonderintg at what stage of the catalpa tree should you look for worms? The trees here now have long beans.

My trees are loaded right now. If you do not have any then you need to find a tree that has a bunch and transplant them on your trees. Once you get them started you should have worms every year.
Word of warning, if you are relying on your trees for shade then do not get the worms started. Once you get them started they will eat every leaf on the tree.

Wish I had some of them. My buddy brought a ton back from OK. A couple years ago...I'll just say they work rather well on whiskers

My trees still have some but they are slowing down. Just a thought but my trees have a lot more worms if i trim them back in the fall.And remember to kill out the ants around your trees they are death on the eggs,young worms and the adult worms coming down the trees.
